Information design

Tables, graphs, ways of presenting data and so on, could do with some handy online resources examples if anyone knows any - tapping "information design" into google returns woefully inadequate results

Go bespoke if the client fits, just think of it as a complicated mini layout that needs simplifying.

Or catalog Tree has loads of examples of info graphics:
catalogtree 4.0

Some of those pieces make the reader work too hard to decipher the data. Great design wank though

Most info graphics will be glanced over anyway as the reader has no hook into the data.

Deciphering data .vs. uninspired data, depends on whether your audience actually needs to read the info or whether you're trying to get them to read it.

Really nice looking examples, this needs to be practical as a comparison tool for a user - something looking as nice as Jonos with the usability of luxbrands is where i'm aiming

Here's a couple of simple/easy to follow data charts I made for a client recently. They are basic pie charts based on browser/platform usage which I think are clear and look fairly modern.

Less is more and all that ...

those look excellent sub, I'm dealing with tabular data as opposed to graphical data - it's more about the layout of the information
