help with banners quote
Hello, I was asked to make two 728x90 banners (animated gifs) for a big company. I've been doing this as a freelancer working for agencies but I've never had to sell banners directly to a client, so I don't know the market rates. I was thinking about 150/200€ each. What do you think ? Can you help ? Fonts are like cologne: A bad choice speaks louder than a good one. Justin Feinstein

I managed to charge 260€ a couple of years ago for an animated banner. It went through 14 revisions and was never used, but that's beside the point. My free fonts www.utfi.net

Banners can take ages. I've designed banners that have taken 30 mins to come up with a concept, and the client has been happy and used that. But just lately I designed a set of banners that went through dozens of revisions taking up hours and hours and hours. I still struggle to quote on these. decent web hosting - www.balue.com

I've been doing some animated GIF banners (from concept to basic animation...) for a national Canadian company for $100 - $150 CAD per banner. But agree with what everyone's been saying, it's so hard to quote sometimes. Fortunately for these banners I have a good idea of what they are looking for in the banners and what they are expecting. |
