photoshop problems
i have a .tiff file someone designed in photoshop on an iMac. I opened it up and sliced the nav buttons and tried to take a corner to make a bg color. I put it all on an html page and when i preview it in Safari, the colors are all jacked up. They both show as different colors, yet in photoshop they were exported the same way in the same file. I used the same file for the color. I then copied and pasted one of the sliced buttons into ps then dragged it into that original file and i got a message that i attached. ive never seen this mssg before. has anyone had this problem b4? or how do i fix it? I grab the same colors and it still shows differently in safari. thnx in advance |

Looks a bit weird. It's saying you've got a mismatch but the profiles its reporting are the same. It's possible you've got a damaged profile on your machine, or the perhaps the embedded profile has become corrupted somehow, but that's just a guess. Mac OS has an app called colorsync which has something called 'profile first aid' which you can use to verify and repair broken color profiles, but I don't know about Windows - perhaps someone who uses it for design could suggest something. Try going into 'Edit>Color Settings' and checking the box that says "Profile mismatches: ask when pasting". This will give you a bunch of extra options when Photoshop detects a profile mismatch. Try pasting again, and this time see if any of the options help you out. Sorry I can't be more specific. |
