Isn't that the high-range levels of the background cloud pattern? Something wrong with the reflections... no idea how you caused that, I don't know much about max.

i get wierd shit like that sometimes, is the colour in the reflection slot totally desaturated? as in, totally greyscale? you using scanline or MR?

Don't think it's a reflection, it can't be, there's nothing there for it to reflect off!

Haven't finished the modelling, so you can't really see whats going on, but where the main flash is, there's nothing there yet, it will be a glass door, but at the moment, its just empty space.

Finished.

Had to rebuild it to get rid of the weird over exposed reflection things.

Might of hit a shortcut key by accident and changed some settings.
