Hi, can anyone kindly advise me how to create a multi pointed star, say 50 points and above in photoshop or illustrator?

use vector graphics and just split up to as many points you want. - take some generic "star template" and begin inserting new nodes in between the few that are there.

there's a tool in illustrator. select it an click on the canvas to edit the size/amount of points

Thanks guys!

The problem with me was I kept dragging the moment I clicked on the star without realizing the option box only appears if you click the canvas.

Thank Cthulhu that's settled. Use the multi-facet tool or whatever the fukkits called in PS, under the rectangular box path tool.
