hotmail on gmail?

Is there a way i can get my emails from hotmail to go to my gmail account. I've just started using gmail so don't know alot about it.

Thought it would be better than thunderbird as it means i can access my emails anywhere

Send a message via AIM to roto Send a message via Yahoo to roto
Two choices:

1) Does hotmail allow access via POP? Set up POP in Gmail for your hotmail account if so...Bob's your Uncle.

2) If you can't POP hotmail, can you forward messages to any other e-mail addy? If yes, forward messages from your hotmail account to your Gmail account. You can label them in Gmail as such to avoid confusion -- if you feel that's necessary. Over time, reply with your Gmail address and you can close out your hotmail account.

If POP isn't an option in hotmail (which I don't know as I've never used hotmail), hopefully the second forwarding option is...

I hope this helps.

Welcome to Gmail, btw...it's fucking great.

damn you microsoft.

Ha ha, yeah. You can say a nice fuck you to Mozilla for that...and it's the reason I used Thunderbird for a day. Thank FUCK I read around about it here at dt.

You mean i can't export mail out of thunderbird? Or i can't export mail back into thunderbird. Getting to grips with gmail slowly. The one thing that pisses me off the most is that you can't use your contacts when your writing an email. You either have to write it down or it will auto complete it for you. Which for some reason doesn't happen when i try it.

Fook sake.

Any other decent online email clients. I liked thunderbird but need something i can access at uni and home and when i'm out and about.

I managed to move from Thunderbird to gmail. It was a bit of an effort, but there's an app that forwards all your emails on to your gmail account and time dates them so that they end up in your inbox as if they were always there and sent by the original sender. Seriously though, would be well lost without gmail these days. So great for being mobile and on different computers.
