Freelance web design compensation?

Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you freelance web designers may be able to answer a question I have. I am design student and I've done a couple website re-designs, both for a non-profit, one was non-paying and the other was only $300.00.

I am now looking into re-designing a website from scratch for a dog breeder. Obviously the website needs some help and there is a lot of information on it..probably over 30 pages. Not only does it need to be re-designed but organized, etc.

How much compensation do you think is reasonable for a website re-design like this using HTML/CSS/Dreamweaver? I have never done a freelance job that was this involved so I was hoping some of you may be able to quote me at least an idea of what I should ask for.

Think about what you would like to work for per hour then work it out from there. Take into consideration your experience, but dont work for peanuts.
