I'm a Belgian student webdesign. My teachers gave me an extra assignment on one of my projects: I have to get 1000 different people to visit my site by June 18th.

To pass for this assignment I need all the help I can get.
So I want to ask you to spare me a moment of your time and visit the site below. (maybe even ask friends to do the same)

no it's not
It's the only way to get 1000 visitors. The site is situated on a school server, so we have to promote it ourselves.

Have you considered actually writing meaningful content, and promoting a website that actually does something, rather than begging for visitors?

The way I see it if your website was good enough, you'd get 1.000 visitors a day for a month, if you just built it well enough so it's featured in a gallery.

There's a question of ethics too, and I still think I am not the one who'd frown upon your means of achieving a goal.

Look, it's a school assignment.. so I'm still learning to work with all the webdesign tools. It's a conceptual assginment: we have to give our teachers goosebumbs on the jury. My concept is that I give people the opportunity to tell the world how they want to be remembered. Those reactions will be put in the movieclip and that clip will be updated soon. We don't have the time, nor the knowledge to make this a superb site that will appear in google search and all.

Why blame your school? It was your choice to go there I presume. Live with the consequences of your choices. And I still doubt your school would condone your approach to the subject.

As a mather of fact, my teachers are pleased with my concept. I think you just don't understand my concept. The 1000 visitors is an EXTRA test.

Your concept is well within my comprehension limits. The merits it has, I can recognize.

It is how you chose to promote it that I deeply resent. Had you chosen to say a few words about it, what it does and what are your plans with it, you would undoubtedly have been better received and not come through like a lowlife spammer.

It is the first impressions that count.

I understand that, but I didn't want to spoil the information that is given on the site. I wanted to give the visitors something new to read on the site, so that's why I didn't explain everything here. But I can't say your comment is undeserved.
