cannot open client supplied .eps files
I only have CS3 installed (running XP) and I just can't get these files to open at all (tried both illustrator and photoshop). I get error messages like ""Parser module cannot parse the file." A little google searching revealed a few other people encountering this problem but came across no solutions. From what I can tell, the general consensus is that opening eps files created in older versions of illustrator seem to cause issues when trying to open them in newer versions. though i'm not sure this is the case as i've checked the headers of these files and they read :%%Creator: Adobe Illustrator(R) 13.0 can anyone open these files? if so could you possibly re-save them and re-upload to see if it makes any difference on my end? http://stevelam.ca/file_download/27/...e+Jam+Logo.eps http://stevelam.ca/file_download/28/...try+rustic.eps I just wanted to make sure its not some buggy shit going on with my own comp. |

Get yourself IrfanView. (Free download IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide) If that can't open the file, you have a problem. You could try altering the .eps to other formats, you never know if someone renamed the file for a laugh. My free fonts www.utfi.net

I was able to open both files without any problems. I've saved them as EPS CS3 from Mac. http://www.brand.lu/wp-content/2008/...try-rustic.eps http://www.brand.lu/wp-content/2008/...e-jam-logo.eps Hope it helps. Edit: Beaten to the draw by Jono |
