Xvid .avi files to a dvd

Anyone know a free way to do this? I've got episodes of lost that a friend wants on DVD but not sure how to do it. I'm on a mac.

When i try to use iMovie it comes up saying that it will take about 700mins when I drag and drop 6 episodes.

Any help would be handy?

VisualHub is awesome for converting any video hub on a Mac... costs a tiny amount but is well worth it.

iSquint is the limited version of the same thing if it has the right options for you?

Or you could install some drivers and use Quicktime to go to MPEG, but it'll be slow slow slow.

Compressor comes with FCP if you have it? That's very nippy/efficient at converting to many formats.

Personally I use Cleaner... but that's only because work paid for it!

FCP?? Might look at iSquint. It's my works mac and i'm only here on placement so don't really want to pay for software.

Keep suggestions coming people

Nah, I think iSquint only converts to .mp4/.m4v for iTunes/iPod?

If you're on Windows, give "divx to dvd" a try. Works for me. Free, too.
