Late fee ?
I have a client who is demanding a 10% reduction on the fee of an already rock bottom price, because the site is two weeks late on being delivered. I have made countless free amends to the design and it's now almost finished. The delay is on the development side, because my business partner is being slow. Any advice? |

Unless such penalties were included in the contract/terms and conditions you both signed when you started the project he doesn't have a leg to stand on demanding any reductions I wouldn't have thought. Give him a breakdown of time spent on amending the work you did for free which you'd be entitled to charge for if he tried to renegotiate the price, maybe that'll give him a pause for thought? Although it's not an ideal situation if it actually is someone's fault and not the clients :/ |
