Font-Family help
Hi I have a font-family of: font-family: "Lucida Sans", Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; color: #515151;} However i do not have Lucida Sans on my PC yet in I.E 6 and 7 and firefox the second font (verdana) fails to show, instead i see a badly rendered lucida sans. I purposely chose lucida sans knowing i do not have it installed on my machine as i wanted to see if verdana would show instead. Does anyone know why verdana is not showing? |

Help with font family
Hi Lucida font has always been a tricky font to work with browser compatibility. As there are more than the one font within the lucida family it means your or most browsers will try and render the font than switch to the next one in the css. Good luck |

Presactly. Different naming conventions between type foundries have made its use as a web font very risky. I'd specify something else first. Trebuchet if you want to show off, Verdana if you want people to be able to read your site. My free fonts www.utfi.net
