Column float problem in Firefox.

What I'm trying to do is simple, I think?

I've got 2 divs, and I want one below the other.

So I've floated both left and put a 100% margin on the top one.

Which forces the second column below the top one.

But not in Firefox. ( please see attachment )

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong.

Can post code if you wish.

I think if you give the bottom one a 'clear: left;' attribute it will do ther job.

Thanks for the help.

Much quicker than trawling through a google search.

Yes, your right, but this is only part of the design.

I'm trying to layout buttons, a main content pane then 2 columns with sub divisions.

But I'm struggling.

This is my first real go at CSS. (I've had help in the past)

Have attached what I'm trying to achieve.

i really don't know much but

could you not put a centered wrapper around the whole thing, then create your divs, 1 x big green, 1 x medium brown, 3 x smaller boxes

if you've worked the widths out correctly for brown and smaller green boxes then float them 'left' it should work

i'm sure some css guru will help you out, it's just my guess

Do you have a div to wrap them all together? Put a containing div around it with your maximum width and that should keep them all together.

Yes, Anxious, I think this is the way to do it.
