how do i design a search facility?
Hi guys im new here, and i would like to ask a question I want to design a jobs website which has the same search facility as this site here: jobcentreplus.gov.uk/Internet/setLocale.do?country=GB&language=en&page=/initialise.do how is this done and how do i do this? would i need a seperate side to this where i can imput my data for the search facility to find results? i am very basic at this so please explain being as simple as possible lol.. thanks Last edited by andyb000 : 25-02-2008 at 20:22. |

If all your data is held in a database you will need a serverside script to serach the database and return the results for you - this is not a simple task and there are scripts you can get to do this but will require more than a basic knowledge of the languages to get something working properly |
