HELP NEEDED - Keywords

Hi,

Quick question, do the search engines place more importance on keywords used in top level menu categories than those used in sub-categories??

Many thanks,
Lottie

Who nows the ways of Google. Even if we said yes, the algorithms would probably be changed tomorrow. SEO is the most difficult thing that I deal with. I freaking despise it.

Personally, I don't think it has a preference though I'm probably wrong.

Seo Help Needed - Menu Structure/keywords

Many thanks for your reply ... your advice is much appreciated. I know what you mean about SEO ... it is also the most infuriating thing I have ever had the mis-pleasure of dealing with!! Would be quite happy for my fairy godmother to come and take it off my hands ... have contacted a lot of SEO companies and they are sooo expensive ... and can obviously give me no guarantees ... and often don't seem to know anymore than me ... and I would class myself around the lower end of mid-knowledge range. I just haven't got the time to give anything extra to to the SEO side of things being that I have all the other sides of my business to deal with as well!! So if there is any affordable UK SEO experts out there ... let me know.

The menu structure question is one that has received conflicted answers ... some people say the closer to the top the keyword is, the more importance google place on it ... some say it doesn't matter ... and others say, who knows, google changes all the while. In the meantime this leaves me in somewhat of a dilemna as to the answer, if there is in fact one! How would the web crawlers read a web menu structure anyway ... would they crawl through all top level categories first and then all sub-categories ... or would they crawl each top category including all subcategories in sequence??

Again, advice on this is much appreciate.

Lottie.
