Does anybody know who does the branding for various town councils etc?

For my major project at uni I'm going to re-brand the South Tyneside area, which is basically where I'm from.

I need to put forward a proposal with quite a lot of research built in to it, I was just wondering if you lot knew of any agency's that do stuff like that have done any re-brands of a similar scope.

Sunderland city council and the whole Newcastle|Gateshead thing has just been redone, anybody know who did them? Or are they all in-house?

not much help but i used to work in newcastle and we* did a lot of design/development work for newcastle city council—read that as i doubt it's in-house; what branding are you talking about? the ncc web site still sucks arse

why don't you ask them… there's at least one twat in the council that'll happily bore you to death about it

* a bunch of fucking con artists that no longer exist

Newcastle and Gateshead initiative (NGI) being from public sector has a complex layering for marketing, but I'm pretty sure Different have been involved but I would try contacting the media team direct:

Yeah I knew Different did some stuff for Sunderland on the advertising side of things.
