Button sizes.

This is probably one of the most (if not the most) amateur questions ever post on this forum, but....
Is there a way to control the size of HTML buttons placed on a page?

CSS I would guess. Probably depends on how the browser interprets form elements though i.e. older versions of Safari for Mac OS X don't allow styling of buttons as it adopts the OS style.

Nope. Just too dumb to think of it.
Thanks, all. End of topic.

What kind of answer is that? The entire point of having a forum is for people to ask questions. Why bother wasting your time even posting such a comment.

Plus if someone would have given him a concise answer, it becomes a resource in Google for the next person to find.

forums aren't always just to give you the answer. usually the skills to find many answers, solving the bigger problem of learning!!!! plenty of stuff out there in google for this, hence why a link wasnt given. end.

Had you cared, you'd have noticed it DID answer the question.
YOUR post, sadly enough, was the useless one (or, even worse, just spam to get your post # up).

Maybe I am interpreting the question wrong.. but what in the fuck does css have to do with "determining" the size of an HTML button...

It has everything to do with "defining" or "setting" the size of the button and therefore it could determine it, but css cannot determine the size of any HTML element unless it explicitly sets it's width / height.

---
and just for shits and giggles I did just discover that you can determine the width / hight of an HTML button using javascript and wrapping that button in a <span> then getting the scrollWidth / scrollHeight of that span..... fuck im a dork

Someone posted this last week. Shows why changing the appearance of forms is probably more effort than its worth.
