Help creating a Good Site
So I just got this server running apache web server and I was able to figure out how to get everything setup and running ok without using a Domain Name, just a simple ftp thing from no-ip.com, really great service and FREE! Anyways, I'm a student and I want to create a site for my fellow class mates that they can use and enjoy and I need MUCHO help! To start off, I have Windows Server 2003, but I can go to Vista or XP if anyone thinks it would be better for what I want. I also have Microsoft Front Page for all my HTML scripting and web page designing so far. These are the only tools I'm using so far. What tools would anyone recommend that I get for my server to become good? I want to find out the tools the pro's use and I am more then willing to learn how to use them. I am completely new to this forum so I hope I'm in the right place! Thanks in advance for any help! -MajorD |

beginners web design You will find that what the pros don't use is FrontPage. Everything else you need to know to get started is linked to from that thread. |
