Interlaced background

Hi there,
in few words, when i point an IMG tag, to interlaced PNG image, everything if fine, and the browser loads the image as an interlaced, but when i use an external CSS file, and point the background-image tag to an interlaced PNG image, using url();, the browser loads bg-image, as an ordinary PNG file(not interlaced), or just shows it that way. Does somebody have an idea, how to fix that?
Thank you very much, and i want to note, that English is not my native language, and i am sorry if my question is not explained very well.
