help! *updated*

guys,

this is driving me crazy. for some strange reason, the color on my photoshop doesn't match with color on my site in mac. it looks fine in pc, but in mac, the photoshop color is always darker.

i'm using #181818 and i'm using photoshop to create a button.

do you guys know how to fix this problem?

i don't have a link yet, but i'll try to put them up ASAP.

This is perfectly normal - colors are always different on Macs compared to PCs - and you might also notice that the site appears smaller too. That is also normal.

Without checking, #181818 sounds like light gray. The only reason you should be worried is if it looks tinted (pinkish, greenish) on a display. Sure sign the monitor is not calibrated.

i used #252525 for my button and #252525 as a background color. but the color doesn't look the same. why is that? it looks the same in pc, but looks different in mac.

here, take a look. because of the button is dark, i'm getting a rectangle(in mac)

I use a pc anyway, so it looks the same color! But there are other serious issues, I think. This is how it looks with Firefox.

Of course, look into rollovers and CSS, then you can dump all that javascript.
Also for the background color, try making the button with a transparent background.

Not in IE.

You could get sound to play with some javascript, if you want to avoid flash.
But as said already it is not recommended. Client's idea?

UPDATE

it's a mess, but i figured out the simpleviewer. does it loads too slow?

also, i need some ideas on intro page. we need something more inviting. i know most of you hate intros, but we wanna showoff the great works(like allstate ads and etc)

any simple ideas for quick 6-7 second intro page? as far as the basic layout, we decided to go with this.

well, give me some ideas! before i tackle on flash intro, i wanna see some cool ideas first. it doesn't even have to be flash.

give me some links!

It might be that you have a different RGB colour profile in your Mac´s PS.

update

link

it's getting very close!! just need few adjustments, and etc.

well, here are some few questions for you guys

1. the brown side bar gets cut off and doesn't continue when there is a scroller and scroll down.. basically when you resize the window, it resizes with the window.. and i wish it doesn't get resized..

this is the css of it..

#sidemenu {
position: absolute;
background-color: #604729;
width: 194px;
height: 100%;
left:0px;
top: 0px;
}

2. some of the images are pngs and where do i get the png fix again?

3. in IE 6, the brown vertical strip doesn't show at all. it's gone!!

4. and how do i get rid of the scroller? every time i open the website in mac, there is a scroller when it doesn't have to be scrolled down...

well, please help me out. it's getting there!!

joe
