where's the west of my wubble woo?

funking 'W' not displaying properly. any ideas? i've used the same os and browser on a different machine and it display's proper, innit.

Maybe use either overflow: visible; to show what's being clipped or padding: 1px; to force the W back inside the box.

Just an idea (or two)

cheers bill. having checked the code i can't see how it would be 'outside the box' but its the only thing i can think of too.

It don't think it will be a markup/css issue. More likely that it's a browser/OS text rendering issue.
(It's possiblethat the two systems you tried don't have the same array of system extensions/add-ons in use)

Not seeing outside the box eh?

I've had this problem several times before, no idea why but interesting to know I'm not the only one.

bearing in mind these last few comments, i'm going to turn to google. will let you know what'sup. cheers bill, i'm thinking its to do with the true type/open type type display engine in XP that's the new display thing. will let you know what i find out.

can't belive you all thought to ignore it.

i've never seen this till a client pointed it out this morning so i matched her on browser and os but still couldn't replicate it myself. the above image is from her screen shot.

Just having a look through some of my older sites, and saw a page which reminded me of this thread...

on this page, the W is being cut off in the intro section.......very odd.
