no longer getting stuck with me <p> tag

bin playing about with this layout.

disclaimer - i am not a websiting person - but reading books i have been trying my very best to code proper.

i have used H1/H2 and the P tag to set rounded corners on the boxes and set padding... very cleaver i thought... but that has meant i get crapping great big paragraph returns in text.. (see 'ethical advertisin' box)

so. what is the best way to sort it so i can space paras nicely?

anything else awful you spot - speak it aloud!

Cheers geeky bods!

Line 97 in your style sheet has this stuff:
p {
padding:5px 20px 20px;
}

That last 20px is your bottom padding. Lower the number and the gap will decrease.

ah.. but then... bear with me now i am silly.. the padding at the bottom of the boxes is lost.

thinking.... i could put padding on the bottom of the div i guess eh? cos the bottom curved graphic is a background pic so wont shift like the top graphic?

sounds good in theory! now to try..

i like it this morning... whether i will still like it this afternoon i'm not sure. def better than the rushed together bobbins we currently have!

i managed to get the site to scale without breaking too much last night too. once the site is built i might play with some style switchers so users can control colours and type size etc... but as ever the code may defeat me!

...likes it. Presently you have one validation issue:

Quote:
Error Line 14, Column 158: there is no attribute "BORDER".

…ogo" width="148" height="103" border="0" class="logo" /></a>

You can fix that by removing border="0" and adding border:0; to your CSS

Other than that I'm really liking it.
