Why would resizing browser window < 800px & inducing horizontal scroll = blank space?

Well, I delivered a site and then got an email stating they'd found a bug in IE6, lo and behold it was there and also on some other sites too. We also just noticed that FF/IE7 are effected to a lesser scale, barely noticable but reflective that there is something wrong somewhere (padding calculations suspected).

Does anyone know why this may happen if you resize a browser window to introduce a horizontal scrollbar and then scroll over to the right only to see.. blank space (see pics) :curse: !

Site: XHTML / CSS / IE6 CSS

Any one who knows what causes this and could point us in the right direction will be hailed like a God.

Kind regards

Hehe, yea thanks for checking. I got a little assistance in recoding the navigation menu bar so that it doesn't screw up too badly.

Always a pain to find "unfixable" bugs like these.
