choosing a typeface

I have to design a logo (and the whole web, luckily the programming guy will slice it up and put some css magic behind it) for a logistics portal where people who need to get their stuff somewhere dont have transport and people who have the means dont have stuff to move around.

DIN popped in my mind first - it has that stiff nice German taste to it which is all nice and jolly as this is the image I should go for - the famous german accuracy and all. Still, it has been used awfully lot already and Id love to try out something new. I havent got anything against it tho, it was one of my most favorite typefaces some time ago.

But I noticed fontfont or fontshop released a free sample of Relato Sans too which I am right now quite fond of. It is a bit smoother and gentle but still has a strong geometric background, esp love the "ka" combo.

The name itself is too long and does not quite deliver visual punch - I would have started looking at the overall shape first - its a bloody mess of ascenders and descenders, but the domain name has been already estabilished etc.

All your input is welcome, and if you can find any typeface that might suit the project more than the ones Ive chosen Id really appreciate it. I havent been as long in this business as some here have so i bet you guys have something really sweet in those massive font catalogues

No-one dares!
You might consider a monofont, which would get rid of the ascender/descender problem. I must admit, logistiikkaportaali is an awkward-looking word.
The Relato version doesn't really cut it, maybe it's too humanist for something so coldly efficient and technical. In that respect, DIN Mittel is better.

Yup, better scrap the relato Ive got something better: CBRD - Media - Fonts . And I should get the typeface used on Estonian signs today too. If anyone has anything special and lovely from their country let me know. Please dont recommend Blue Highway but if anyone has ClearviewHwy Id love to see "logistikaportaal" in it.

It doesnt have the quite feel to it. I want to have something that has been designed specifically for transportation and not DIN or that funky typeface that was missing all the vocals, I cant recall the name right now - but it was used in Germany for roadsigns.
