Editable pdf
Knocking together a factsheet, client wants to be able to edit the copy themselves. Is there a software package where I can send them a pdf and they can change the copy? Cheers if you can help. whats facebook?

the client doesn't have illy, and when you open up pdf's in it the text sometimes is fucked. I could do with a recommended software package for a pc etc. Cheers for the suggestion though whats facebook?

to my knowledge PDF isn't strictly a editable format. You can make small tweaks with Acrobat Pro (or 3rd party alternatives) if you have the correct fonts installed - but little else. your options are limited to what the client has on their computer and understands how to use - which is most likely .... shudder.... Word. |

nah as I used to have a client in my previous job who used to have his own software and fuck about with the copy on the pdf's we sent him, I know when I google loads of different software progams come up but I dont want to tell the client to buy a duffer that doesn't work. Cant design anything in word unless anyone knows how to set up a decent grid in it etc whats facebook?

There is a software called Artpro. You can import Postscript, PDF etc and either edit it on that software or export it as Illustrator. However, it is a software for repro of packaging design so your client will be paying a lot just to use one of it's smaller facility. I think Illy might be cheaper though, plus Artpro is for Macs. |
