Image mapping, is it bad?
Hi I have tried using this method to get a background image to have linkable buttons but it did not work in IE just wandering if you guys could take a look at the article and tell me if this is an outdated method as it seemed to be what I needed but just did not work entirely. image maps are evil. period. I think I have already given you the alternative best way to make these buttons linkable. If it's that much of a hurry, it might be worthwhile considering hiring a coder to do it for you. If it's not, start here W3Schools Online Web Tutorials HTML and CSS Tutorials, References, and Articles | HTML Dog css.maxdesign.com.au - CSS resources and tutorials for web designers and web developers |

Well I understand the article mostly I think the best way would be the cover up method described at the bottom but I dont get hovering the BG image over the links with the empty <span> tag. And the only reason for this post was to see if image mapping was bad just wanted opinions on the article I was reading. It just made sense to me when I read it at first. |
