So I'm just learning Flash, after having proficient knowledge of the rest of the creative suite. I'd love to be able to emulate this.

I haven't found any tutorials, and was wondering if anyone who knows flash pretty well could give me some detailed pointers.

I'm pretty sure that is after effects.

Your better off in After Effects for that.

yes this is possible in flash. though the video is after effects.

look at the Total Training series on Flash, this is a really easy animation to pull off. Not in concept, but production.

Google for kinematic typography. There was some piece of Java that was specifically programmed for it.
