opening photos into photoshop
Hi all, I have a recent problem with photoshop, where it won't open an image in photoshop unless i go to open>imagename.jpg When I try dragging the photo to the photoshop dock icon, it loads photoshop, but the image doesn't open. When I right click the image and tell it to open in photoshop, again, it opens photoshop but doesn't import the image. PLEASE HELP! I'm using Mac os X. CS2 Thanks Ivan |

This is what is known technically as a "glitch". Some configurations of apps and add-ons simply combine to cause slightly odd behavior. If you can get your head around opening PS first and then the image(s), there's no problem. I have a similarly mystifying glitch on my machine - when I create a PDF for the first time after a restart, my virus protection program also starts looking for on-line updates. Go figure. I have a similar problem with Illustrator CS2 on PC. I must have Illy open and then open AI files - opening them without having launched causes Illy to crash. It happens .... wouldn't worry too much. A bit of a pain yes, but not reason to panic. I made 100 posts and all I got is this stupid signature.
