Freelancing Tool to help make your life easier...

Hey guys, I want to code a website tool for freelancers. I have some ideas and would like some feedback from you guys, or even some new suggestions.

I'd like to know which you think would be better for freelancers
  1. Time Tracking Tool
  2. Project Management Tool
  3. Invoicing Tool
  4. Communication Tool
  5. Collaborating Tool
  6. Brainstorming Tool

I'd like to know which idea you think would be best for you, and what features you'd expect from it. I also would like to know if there was a premium service for extra features, would you pay and how much?? I'd plan for it to be a few pounds a month so it would be really useful and wouldn't break the bank.

Before I get replies telling me about 37signals, basecamp and all their other tools, I know about these, but will develop some unique features that would help me stand out from the rest, and of course, the price will be lower than that of basecamp and others etc.

Cheers guys.

Invoicing would be handy, assuming it can be customised for local tax rates etc. As far as I know, there's no web-based system suitable for small businesses and some kind of invoicing system is essential anyway.
I wouldn't use any of the other systems on your list (probably) because alternatives are already in place.

sounds cool

Yeah, and invoice system that automaticly inserts random insults based on the number of days past due would be nice

Like, Today is Sept 30. That date have any meaning to you, douchbag? Like for instance, you are 30 FREAKING DAYS past due!!

Ha ha that would be handy.

I'd be mostly interested in the first three you mentioned. We haven't touched on the business side in my uni course but a package like this would be helpful.

Blinksale | The easiest way to send invoices online

I've had people send me invoices using this.

Basically combine that with Basecamp and the other 37signals apps and everything is covered. Making something as good/better then all that, but in one cohesive package would be a daunting task. I'd buy it if it was done well though

Especially if you're only one person.
