Wordpress help

Hey folks well I thought I'd try taking the easy option for the time being regarding my portfolio site.

After installing Wordpress it worked fine. Then i moved it about on my web space and when i go to my homepage

designneverdies

It comes up as text only with nothing else. When i try to login to my Wordpress admin bit all i is error 404.

Any idea what I've done wrong?

yeah, you moved it.
Read here how you should've done it.

Moving WordPress « WordPress Codex

Try to put it back where it was (all of it) and do it again following the instructions above.

What you have done is changed the root address by moving it but there is a setting in Wordpress that uses that address to tell the site where the CSS is. The root address is stored in the mySQL, have a look in the databases find where the root address is stored and change it manuallly

or if you go here even if messed up you should be able to change the entry and submit the form.

with that link i get 404 again.

As for looking in the database i don't have a clue where to look. I looked everywhere i could and couldn't see anything to do with root address.

Would it be easier if i deleted everything that my domain point to and started all over again then just pointed my domain to it after i knew it worked? Or does deleting it fook everything up??

Sorry if im being a dumbass but the lsat site i made was sliced and then used iframes and all html. that was about two years ago and i've not updated it since.

Is that in a frame then?

Or did you not move the admin folders?

i'll run you through what i did to see if you can spot where it all went tits up.

I uploaded all the wordpress stuff into a folder on my webspace. I then checked that it work and everything was a ok. I then took down my old site and moved the wordpress files into a new folder to try and keep myself organised.

After that, the shit hit the fan and i got covered in it.
