block head

I'm new to designerstalk.com, but I've seen alot of the work that you guys/girls post and it's all brilliant.
I was just wondering how do you push your ideas without going nuts or wanting to blow your brains out? I usually go through hell and back before I get something I like. I guess I'd like to know for sure that there are other people out there going through the same frustrations I am to get to a piece they can be proud of.

I am like that with my personal stuff. Forever redesigning my portfolio... going through layout number...6!
Or something.

With client work - where there is a deadline - time puts a natural stopper on things.

Client work I don't really have a problem with, Sometimes I find it tough, but my biggest frustration is having no limits, no boundries, and no time. Its like my brain is a slideshow that just wont stop on an image long enough to beable to create it... I guess just knowing that dave and I arn't the only two out there with creative retardation from time to time is comforting.

Hey, I'm new to designerstalk as well, and in the same boat as ace and Dave. I guess with no boundaries, no limits and no time, I let myself get too overwhelmed and end up just staring back at a blank screen/piece of paper; so many things I want to do, I just don't know where to start. It's hard to get motivated when I get slammed with a block like this.

But I guess everyone goes through this from time to time...

there are always some limitations... (seek and you will find ) if you pinpoint them it will limit your choice and make your job easier
