There must be a way!

my flash loads soo slowly! but i need a large picture to act as the back ground. any way i can make it quicker?!

depends on how much quality you are willing to sacrifice, optimize your image in photoshop first, then when you import in into flash select it's properties from te library and change the compression setting to jpeg (if it's not already) and alter the percentage - you can get decent results at 40% but it's image dependant

If it's a large file it'll take as long to load as the connection will allow.

nah its cool, ive decided to not use flash, ill just do old school design like im used to!

the idea of the textured background is that the image is printed on card, but i think im just gunna give up on it alltogether!
