stock photo sites for the UK

Anyone know of any good image libraries aimed at the UK? I normally use PictureQuest (which is a combination of a few like Corbis, Photodisc, etc) but many of the photos seem to have an American slant to them or have obviously been taken in America - you know the kind of thing, cheesy businessmen on the celphone, all-American family with Mom baking blueberry pie....

I'm looking for royalty free rather than rights protected. Any suggestions?

check the topic called 'Stock Photo CDs' under here Help Me! - especially the post from Pilskin
(ok, it's not all English - but not all American either)

I think the best digital photography is the stuff you take yourself... I also don't like those digital photography stock sites because they charge $50 for a girl smiling, or for a man staring at a computer screen!

I don't think so... you pay for it if you don't want the istockphoto watermark.

Istock is free for 2 images - If you want more you have to upload some of your own.

You mean istockphoto or istockpro? Istockphoto sells pics for 0,5 $US (72dpi). You can hardly call it expensive.
