hey.

im still sort of new to using flash, but anyways, i was working on some banners to put on some websites..and i was wondering if there was a way in flash mx to add html to the banner itself where when you place it on the site, it will already be set up to link to the desired webpage.

if anyone can help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps what you are looking for is

Code:

getURL("SomeUrlHere.com", "_blank");

There are tons of actionscript tutorials out there. In fact you don't even need actionscript to accomplish this.

sorry if i didnt explain it well.

im not wanting to put a link on the banner itself. i guess the word to use maybe would be embed html in the banner, so when someone places it on a myspace for example, they dont have to go in and add extra html to make it clickable to go to "x" website. is that possible to do using/without using actionscript??

Yes it is and the actionscript code was given to you already. google "flash button tutorial".
