I've got a Kranky catalog I can dig out tomorrow. On the whole by their very definition indie labels are too poor to produce catalogs, its the least of their worries. unconsolidated isoparms

I used to make music websites for idiots like Warp, Ninja tune and Echo. The nearest they came to a catalogue was a fax/photocopy/print out from word or excel, I kid you not. Basically they can't arsed, because the music sells it's self. It's one of the links in the chain that really doesn't need to be designed, and if it is, it means they have far too much time on their hands. considering they used to pay 500 quid for a website, and now they mostly make them internally, I guess the going price for dolling up their wares on paper would be, say, 50 pence? |
