How to do an Audit

One of my freelance clients wants me to do an 'Audit' of their existing site. At the moment its an awful flash based monstrosity. Does anyone have any links to good resources on what i should cover and look into when doing an audit?

Cheers

James

Depends on what kind of audit - if it's a overhaul and you have provide reasons for improvement then you could start at the top and work your way down

Quantitative:

Doctype
Meta
Title
Headings
Semantic Structure

Then you could test:
Validity
Accessibility

Qualitative:

Information architecture
Usability
Peer review
Focus review
