Mailing List

Can anyone recommend a php mailing list system that is free and customisable? It can be flat-file or MySQL?

Does it have to be downloadable?

We use Email Newsletter Software for Web Designers - Campaign Monitor which is awesome.

Seriously, it costs us like $7 to send out our monthly newsletter...who can't afford a few bucks here and there?

Anyway, have a look at Hotscripts.com :: The net's largest PHP, CGI, Perl, JavaScript and ASP script collection and resource web portal

phplist is the best I have seen so far. I have found a service called Mailium which will cost £30 once off that I think I could convince them into buying...it looks incredible!
