film speed

new to photography, will 800 speed film be too fast for taking pictures in a sunny day, such as today. shall i just use it in indoor conditions?

You can use that film speed but you'l have to have your shutter speed at mega fast.. and your photos will be very grainy and washed... depends on the finish you want!!! You could do some really interesting high contrast stuff!!!

i'm using a holga, so images looking a bit shit and 'different' is the outcome i'm going for i guess.
there's only two shutter speed options; 1/125 and 'however long you hold your finger down on the button'

1/125 shutter speed and ASA200 film is about the limit for a sunny day. Faster film than that overexpose.

hmm, i flickr searched holga 800 and holga 800iso and the photos from sunny days look fine, a little grainy but by no means ridiculously overexposed.
