Gap between div when text tags added
Hi I'm having problems with my layout, i have 3 div's in a container ( head, body, footer ) which come together fine when empty or if the start and end text is unformatted but when I add a text tag I get a gap of about 10-15px appearing between the two. What the flaming hell is going on? |

could be default margin/padding on the p tags(?). first thing you should do is give all your block level elements coloured backgrounds or borders so you can see where things are shifting/breaking. then systematically delete stuff from the page till you find the element that is causing the issue. make sure you're using a doctype and validate plus test cross browser as you go and you'll spot these things happening as soon as they happen in future |
