web banners - most popular sizes ?

I've been asked to define the specs/sizes for banner ads for our sites ...

Does anyone have any info or links to any stats relating to the most commonly used ones ??

I've got my own ideas that a top banner (468 x 60) and a skyscraper (120 x 600) are probably up there .. but any help - based on stats and facts - would be appreciated ...

anyone ??

sorry pgo - thats not really what i meant .... but thanks anyway

I know what the usable sizes are - but am trying to find the top 4 or 5 used - in stats terms (if any figures like that exist in any way, shape or form ?)

it doesn't seem like that info is available in any generic form ... humbug.

i guess i'll just have to collect the info and go from the gut !!

why not ask Tango Zebra. Just send them a mail asking what are the most common sizes you should work at.

I found this site to be interesting - about possible future standards to restrict the number of sizes in use ... and compliant companies (some of the big boys)
