Halftone help

Hi.

I'm having a hard time finding a way to make a solid colour disipate out into circles. I can do it in photoshop but i want it to look something like this attachment.

Any help?

Whats wrong with the photoshop colour-halftone method? Are you saying you want it in vector?

No I want the dots to decrease in size from the middle and eventually fade to white and i don't know how to do it.

For something as huge and graphic as the plane, probably doing it manually would be an idea too, it's not hugely difficult just takes a minute to get your head around how the effect works lol

I know its not meant for a plane, I just meant if its for a large format or seen big, it'd be worth redrawing it. I'm not that stupid :P

I've had a look at this problem and what i have achieved is to bitmap- halftone screen- a gradient, then autotrace in illustrator CS2 to produce vector, not the best but works!

Did no one try rasterbator? It outputs a vector pdf you can readily edit within illustrator. Bit hard work on large images but for a simple grad it should work fine...
