Hi,

I am a newbie and It would be of great help if anyone can tell me how can i allow users to download a file from my website by clicking on a link.

But I do not entirely disagree with your approach.

New person number ten million, what hawken wants you to do is to upload the file to your site and then create a hyperlink to it. Easy. And if you post a reply here, asking for the mark-up - expect a flaming. We like new comers.

while this topic is open, there is a prgram that will allow you to charge for a file, lets say u were selling Ebooks, then you can recieve payment before they download this file.
