CSS Javascript image fade effect

http://mullerdigital.com/CSStests/fade_image.html
Every 5 seconds and you'll see the images fade.
This works perfectly in IE and Safari, but in FireFox, there is a bug. It starts to flicker before the images fade-in. I've read through the script and I've tweaked it out and tried to figure-out what is going on. It seems as though the image sometimes gets loaded in full opacity and then quickly get it's opacity set to 0 and then fades in properly. This is just a guess though. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's a bug in the fox, just set the opacity to 99.9% and you'll be fine

Didn't work. But thanks for the reply stickmus. Oddly, when I was trying the 99.9% technique, I used an alert when opacity was at 100 so I could change it to 99.9. When I did the alert, it fixed the problem... except it created an alert. Something tells me this may take a while to solve.
