Cartoon Images

Hi guys,

Not sure if anything can help and this is my first post so here goes. I run a website where we give members the feature to upload there own personal profile on the site this profile includes a personal image, when someone does not upload a picture of themselves or a picture of something, it displays a "No Picture Available" basically a standard image

I was thinking it would be pretty cool that if I could get it done in such a way so that if it was a male member and they did not enter there picture it would put up a male cartoon image or something that would show the person is male - and the same for female members.

Someone suggested head kandi images, but I would like to come up with something unique, any suggestions or ideas would be grately appreciated

You would probably need to consider age and race. For example, someone with dark skin probably wouldn't appreciate being represented by a white face and vice versa.

I would suggest going for a non-descript character based on the style of the website if you wanted to go down the cartoon/illustration route.

One very nice way I've seen on forums is a silhouette, just an outline.
