problem coding my layout

I did my layout and I sliced it in image ready and i hard coded the layout. Yes i know i need to get dreamweaver or golive. The layout is for my freelance business that im trying to get off the ground. Anyways, when I slice it the the main content box and the rest of the images below my banner and navigation breaks up. Should I just get a copy of dreamweaver or golive and fix it that way or is there a way that I can slice it so that when my main content expands the other slice/images dont break???

Problem there - dreamweaver and goLive do nothing for you if you can't actually code it manually. Besides keep you in the dark and end up hurting you in the end. Fix it manually - then buy Dreamweaver.

You will although - get 600 responses of how Dreamweaver and other editors just suck. I do suggest getting Dreamweaver though - because some things are way easier to edit without having to dig through the code a billion times. But you do have to watch your code, and make sure that it doesn't "help" you, by screwing up your code.

post up a url or else no-one will have a clue what's going on and be able to give you some help. do you walk into a garage and tell the mechanic your cars broken down and maybe it's something to do with the widget that comes out of the combobulator doohickie?? he's going to want to see the car isn't he? cogito ergo sum

What skyrocket said, only everybody knows that the combobulator doohickie doesn't have any widgets coming out of it. See what happens if you pay your mechanic by check instead of using cheques.

Try Googling "css layouts" and reading up and learning how those work.
