Hello
Hi Everyone, As you can probably tell I am new to the site and have just started to learn about web design so you might have to bare with me as my knlowledge won't be as good as your's. To the point, I am currently enrolled in the CIW Master Designer course which I am finding quite enjoyable, however I passed the Associate with ease but Site Designer v5 is proving to be a bit more difficult. I have failed the exam more then once and it is strating to knob me off as I really want my qualification so I can start working. So can anyone offer me some good advice on how I can pass this exam or maybe some good resource pages where I can learn from, I dont really want to spend more money on it so free material would go down a treat. Any replys would be much appreciated Cheers |

i have a CIW qualification myself - i thought the first exam was the hardest! the modules if i remember in the next stage are easily found on online resources.. if youve done the exam more than once you should know what questions they will ask and also have past exam papers. study them and make sure u know topics will be covered... |

The topics that are covered are the following: 1.Site Development Essentails (11) 2.Web Design Elements (13) 3.Basic Web Technologies (26) 4.Advanced Web Technologies (20) The numbers in brackets are the amount of questions that are on the exam realted to the topic. Its hard with this type of format with the exam because you dont know what you got right and wrong all you get is a sheet of paper saying how you did on each section |

hmmm .... I have a CIW also and tbh its not wrth the paper its printed on. It wont prepare you for life in the web world in any way. Fortunately I passed each exam first time so I didnt experience the frustration of failure - the whole system is et up to get you to fail and each time you sit the exam again you have to pay, right? Build some dummy sites, get some books, learn that way instead who the fuck r u?
