A humble request

Hi all,

I'm the newest kid on the block here, and I wanted to post a request for assistance with an important project I am organizing. I am appealing at other forums—specifically the ones dealing with MMJ (medical Marijuana) issues—for volunteers to handle the various aspects of the project, but I have a special need that can only be addressed in this type of forum.

MMJ Today is a not-for-profit entity that will work hard to make sure that needy, underprivileged medical patients get the equipment they require to produce their own herbal medications in the privacy of their own homes. Most medical patients are on disability of some sort and do not have the funds available to purchase the proper equipment required to grow their medicinal herb.
Because of this, countless patients who must take regular doses of high-potency analgesics to deal with illness or injury pain, must also endure the frequently troubling side-effects that prescribed medications are notorious for…side effects that they do not suffer when using MMJ to deal with their pain or appetite or emotional disorders.

MMJ Today will match generous corporations, manufacturers, retailers and private citizens with qualified MMJ patients who meet the criteria for assistance. These “Angel Donors” will supply all or part of the growing equipment and accessories their “Client” requires in order to be able top grow and harvest their own medicinal herbal preparations. The generosity shown by our Angel Donators does not go unrewarded by any means. The constant media exposure in relative magazines and other publications, TV news programs (the “human interest” slant) will be superb for their businesses.

Now…on to my request. I would like to find someone who can assist me with the Website creation. What I really require is someone who can go through the HTML code on my template page to make sure it is all solid and workable so I can begin placing the pages and their respective content online as soon as possible.

If anyone has a little time they can donate to this most worthy project, please contact me so I can arrange to send the page to you for consideration. The custom graphics are all completed and the photos are ready to go.
You will be given full credit at the site under the “Angel Donator” section for your help. Once the page is ready to be used as a template, I’m off and running!

I apologise for the long post, but it was necessary for me to explain thoroughly before I asked for help.

I hope to hear from you soon! All the best!

David

Greetings from another kid in the block.

I have only one suggestion. The trend now is away from serif typefaces. So kindly adopt sans serif kinda fonts like helvetica, verdana etc.

Also in my opinion, you better use a CMS, so that you can devote more time towards the content aspect rather than dealing with other nitties and gritties.

I can't agree with the above. Typefaces are chosen as part of the overall design approach. Whatever works in context. I think the only trend on Designer Stalk is away from Comic Sans

what a fantastic charity.

they should have called it the Total Hydroponic Charity (THC)

if i had time, i might help you out - but i haven't got any spare at the moment - sorry.

as an ex-personal hemp farmer myself, i totally support you and your stoner cause. i myself once donated several good seeds to my dads friend for medicinal purposes.

Yes, I agree Comic sans are defunct now. Nobody uses dem now. I never used them either.

I made the suggestion regarding typefaces only based on my overall observations. Serif fonts used to be the default implementation without formatting or css, and nobody likes them. I however like the Kanji scripts; serifs everywhere and very very beautiful.
