Hi All,

I'm new here...great forum. Hopefully someone can give me a few pointers.

I'm building a new website to replace my blog. I have the beginnings of the site here (just my test space):http://novernae.atspace.com/ . Here are the features I'd like to have, and I'm looking for specific suggestions as to how I can best implement them:

-I want to be able to archive blog posts on a separate page, which I can easily update with each post bumped from the index page.
-I want a photo gallery that I can link to from thumbnails on the index page
-I'd like to find a better way of posting/adding each blog entry--for the moment, I have to replace the index page with each blog entry. That's stupid, but I don't know how to fix it. Moveable type? Not sure. I'm out of my element and then some.

If anyone can give me some pointers or suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm happy to read, learn, and tinker on my own, but I just don't know where to begin with these problems.

I'll host my website with a paid hosting company, and since I haven't chosen one yet, feel free to suggest any server technologies/resources that will best fit my needs, and I'll find a host that has those.
