Background in Dreamweaver

I'm working in fireworks and dreamweaver. When I get to dreamweaver, and come to apply a background (behind an 800 x 600 px page) I'd like something a little more interesting that a solid colour. I have found a nice little background on this site www.rockstaradventures.net. Now I can see that the person has used a 1 x 150ish gradient line, but how do you get the darker blue at just the top, and then the light blue for the rest of the page? When I appy that to my dreamweaver, it repeats itself down the whole background, and obviously looks awful!

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers

In other words:

body {
background: url(/path/to/image.gif) repeat-x top left #COLOR;
}
