Help me please!!!
Hi, I am a complete newbie to professional web designing though i have tried to do it on Word and was successful. I tried to make a website on FrontPage and though i have got hold of the basics pretty well, i am stuck at a very embarrassing point. I have given a table on the left side of the page, for the links, and though i have succeeded in putting on a table, i am not able to right anything adjacent to it. If i try writing anything, then it goes into the next cell of the table. Can anyone please help me as to how can i have the table and write something adjacent to it? I even reduced the width to 15% from the HTML screen in FrontPage but with no luck, Please help me. __________________________________________________ ________________________ _____ I I cannot write anything here I _____ I can only write here and not above..please help me. |

I don't want this to be a shitty response, I do want to help, but firstly your going to have to help yourself. Firstly, making a webpage in word? Worst possible start you could ever have. Secondly, making a webpage in Frontpage, don't bother, it may make things easier, but in reality your getting a horribly inferior product. You can solve your problem by NOT using frontpage, I don't want to turn this into a "frontpage is for n00bs" thing.. as some people are new, they don't know XHTML and CSS.. there is nothing wrong with that! But the best thing to do is to learn it, then try and make a website. http://www.w3schools.com/ - This is your friend, go read it, do the tutorials and see what you can come up with after that |

ok...i know that doing websites on word is bit foolish but it was the first time that i had done a website and that too after reading a book in which they had told that doing websites is easy. I then started to go on looking for complex ways of building websites and the next step was frontpage. At present i am trying to build websites using html. I even got the answer without your help thank you. It seems we should build tables in a table. Instead of giving me the link i think you would have been more helpful just by giving the answer. Anyways thankyou. I will look into the sites mentioned |

You should not 'build tables in a table'. However, it strikes me that you aren't actually interested in getting the job done properly but want the easiest, quickest solution possible. In this case stick to Frontpage and don't come back. Oh no, was this a shitty response?! |

I agree with the responses here completely. Frontpage and all of those programs suck and are geared toward the average consumer who does not know what he/she is doing. Learn HTML or CSS and get full control of what you are building. The sites they gave are great. Christopher J Smallwood Owner VertuHost Web Hosting Solutions http://vertuhost.com |
